Quiet hours block ChatGPT entirely during a window you choose, including ChatGPT Work. You set a start time and an end time under your teen’s name in the Parental controls panel. The limitation to know about is that you only get one window, so you cannot block school hours and bedtime separately.
The Study Mode Toggle
Added on 13 July 2026, this is the newest control and the most misunderstood. Turning it on means every new main conversation starts in Study Mode, which walks a student through a problem step by step instead of handing over the answer.
