Language models are not self-aware and don’t have knowledge of the moment they were deployed or the exact version they represent. This is because the data used to train them does not include references to themselves — the concept of “Claude 4,” for example, likely didn’t exist at the time the training data was collected. As a result, the model may default to identifying itself as an earlier version, such as Claude 3.5, which did exist in its training data.
This behavior doesn’t indicate that the wrong model is being used — it’s simply a limitation of how language models are trained. Fello AI always uses the actual latest versions listed in the app, regardless of what the model might claim in conversation.

Yes. When an AI response includes information from a web search, you’ll see a Resources button at the bottom of the message. Tap it to expand a list of clickable source links — so you can verify the information or read the original pages yourself.
This works on both iOS and macOS and appears automatically whenever the AI uses web search to answer your question.
Go to Settings in the Fello AI app and look for the Notifications section. You can turn off push notifications entirely from there.
Fello AI only asks for notification permission after you send your first message, so if you declined the initial prompt, notifications are already off.
If you want to receive notifications but don’t want the AI response to show on your lock screen, go to Settings in the Fello AI app and turn off the notification content preview. You’ll still get notified when a response is ready — you just won’t see the actual text until you open the app.
On macOS, the empty chat screen shows shortcut buttons for your favorite AI models. You can customize them in Settings → Models, where you choose up to 5 models that will appear as shortcuts.
