Fello AI, the all-in-one AI app for Mac, iPhone, and iPad, has released a major update focused on clarity, structure, and intelligence. The new version refines the interface to make working with leading AI models even more intuitive and brings reasoning capabilities to all major models supported in the app, giving users the option to enable deeper, more thoughtful responses when needed.
A More Thoughtful Interface
The text input area has been redesigned to make advanced tools easy to reach and effortless to use. Users can now enable Imagine, Think, or Search modes for any AI model directly from the input bar.
Imagine mode is for generating or editing images. Think mode helps with more complex tasks that require extended reasoning. Search mode connects the AI to the web for the most up-to-date information.
The result is a cleaner, more intuitive workspace that adapts to what you’re doing — no need to browse through long model lists or adjust settings manually.
Reasoning Mode
Fello AI now brings Reasoning capabilities to all major supported models — including GPT-5, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, and others. You can simply turn reasoning on when you need the model to think more carefully, follow multi-step logic, or explain its conclusions in greater detail.
Reasoning mode is designed for tasks that go beyond surface-level answers. It helps the AI plan, analyze, and connect ideas — ideal for things like outlining research papers, solving programming challenges, writing long-form content, comparing complex options, or working through structured problems that require explanation.
When reasoning is off, models respond faster and focus on shorter, more direct answers — perfect for everyday chatting, drafting, or brainstorming. With reasoning enabled, they slow down to think through each step, providing more consistent and well-supported results.
To make this easier to use, reasoning models now have their own dedicated tab within the model switcher, so users can quickly choose between creative, conversational, or analytical modes depending on the task.
New Models
We’re happy to bring the first European model into our collection of supported models with the addition of Mistral Medium and its reasoning counterpart, Magistral Medium. Developed by Paris-based Mistral AI, these models are designed for precision, transparency, and multilingual understanding — making them a strong complement to the global lineup of AI systems inside Fello AI.
Mistral Medium is a versatile, high-performing model well suited for structured writing, research, and coding. It handles context-heavy text with accuracy, making it ideal for users who need reliable, consistent output across longer or more technical documents. Its strength lies in its balance — capable of delivering both clarity and creativity in professional or analytical use cases.
The reasoning version, Magistral Medium, is purpose-built for deeper, step-by-step thinking. It excels in complex problem solving, structured analysis, and transparent reasoning that users can follow and verify. Thanks to its multilingual capabilities, it performs consistently across major global languages, from English and French to Spanish, German, and beyond.
Availability
The all new Fello AI 6.2.0 is now available on the Mac App Store and the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
You can update the app to access the redesigned interface, new reasoning features, and the expanded collection of supported models.
All new features, including Reasoning Mode, Web Search, Image Generation, and the new Mistral models, are included in the existing subscription at no additional cost.
